Baxley Ocean Visions (BOV) is a privately owned ocean engineering corporation located in Vero Beach, Florida, providing technical support for the marine industry. Established in 1998, the company can provide a wide range of services which incorporate cost-effective, reliable, and innovative solutions to ocean-related problems. Capabilities include remotely operated vehicles (ROVs), towed camera survey systems,, diver equipment design services, cable system engineering and modeling, and custom project development. Operational experience in high current environments, such as the Gulf Stream, is a unique capability.
The company has conducted many various underwater surveys in Florida, Virgina, the Bahamas, and the Dominican Republic. Several custom-built ROV and towed camera systems have been used to document offshore spoil sites, disposal areas, deepwater sand surveys, and artifcial reefs. Projects have included the search and recovery of equipment in both offshore and inshore locations, including springs and mountain rock quarries. Customers have included Broward County, the State of Florida, the US Navy, Nova Southeastern Univeristy, and several private firms. In addtion to underwater survey work, BOV has also provided engineering consulting services to companies throughout the country.
BOV has also been very involved in education projects in south Florida, including a mentoring program at South Broward High School as part of the Marine Magnet Program and numerous lectures to student from grades 6 through 12.
The company is a registered Small Business with the South Florida Water Management District, and is operated as a S-Corporation in the state of Florida.
